Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) is the most complex product of all produced by us, since it requires applying special controls and a mastery of the parameters involved in the precipitation reaction and later treatments.
Continuous R+D investment together with the experience acquired over several decades, and the collaboration with Calcinor and euroMinerals, has allowed us to develop and implement the inPCC Calprec product range in different markets.
The great advantage offered by PCC is the possibility of producing different crystalline forms that adapt to each application to the properties they confer. For example, opacity and whiteness are important characteristics in applications such as paper or paint, while rheological behavior is key for sealants or adhesives. Thus, the different types of the product and their respective technical characteristics must be contrasted in close collaboration with customers and depending on the specific application.
PCC can be distinguished for:
• the possibility to achieve smaller and more uniform particle sizes
• more stable and narrower granulometric distribution
• lower abrasivity
• higher specific surface
• highest chemical purity
• defined rheological properties
Some of the sectors where Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) is found are adhesives and sealants, paint, paper, plastic, rubber, or other industries within the chemical sector. Also some uses within the food industry require the use of PCC.
