Calcium Hydroxide is used to manufacture gelatins as a reagent for food additives manufacturing and to soften drinking waters.
Calcium Oxide finds a particular application in the manufacture of certain animal nutrition products, especially aimed at ruminants, in which animal feed with a high energy yield can be obtained. It is also used as a reactive for sugar production.
Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (especially CALPREC PA) is directly used as a food additive, particularly in snacks or bakery. In the pharmaceutical industry it is used in antibiotics manufactured by fermentation and as an excipient in pharmaceutical tablets. In addition it is used for latex production.
